Safety Poster Thumbnails

With all that has been happening this next assignment is very fitting; 

creating a safety poster for COVID-19. 

These are my thumbnails and ideas for the poster:

Thumbnail/Idea 1:

For this idea I wanted to go a bit more metaphorical. Because COVID-19 can be very harmful to one's respiratory system I thought that a set of lungs would be a good idea to incorporate. I added them half in soap/bubbles for the prevention through good hygiene and sanitation. The flowers were added to help symbolize good health (the flowers are in full bloom and healthy) in order to keep ourselves healthy. The copy that would be put underneath would be the hygiene recommendations for preventing the virus.

Thumbnail/Idea 2:

Thumbnail 2 is a bit more literal. I took inspiration from more of a comic book look for this with the panels and the closer up scenes. The images I wanted to draw for this a some of the ways we can prevent COVID-19 (washing hands, social distancing, staying at home) and I thought that the copy would stand out as knockout type. The copy that would be put with it is some of the prevention tips that the government website has posted. 

Thumbnail/Idea 3: 

Idea 3 is a bit similar to thumbnail 2 as it is more comic book looking and is a bit more literal in imagery. This Idea I wanted to focus in on identifying the symptoms and what to do if someone thinks they have COVID-19. the phone in the top corner will have the "take the assessment" button that the government website has to help identify if you have the virus. The bottom image is of someone call their doctor to see if they should be tested further. The copy that would be used on the right would be a list of the symptoms and what to do if one thinks they have the virus. 

Thumbnail/Idea 4:

The imagery for this is also somewhat metaphorical in that it represents how staying home (comfortable clothing, an at home activity of reading) can be loving to others(the hearts that emit from the person) especially to ones that are vulnerable and helps keep themselves safe also. The copy that would be put with it would be the governments guides on isolation and social distancing to help prevention.
